  Good Manual HD lens for XL2 / XLH1?

  Hey, guys!

  I’m currently an XL2 owner and enjoy its many features very much. However, one thing that has always bugged me is the infinitely spinning focus ring on the Canon 20x lens that came with the kit.

  I am going to be purchasing an XLH1 in the near future and have noted that Canon has kept to its infinitely spinning focus ring on their 20x HD lens that generally ships with the camera.

  I would like to find an HD lens that has true and accurate manual focus control that will work with both cameras interchangeably. At first I thought the Canon 16x Manual Servo would be the answer to my prayers. However, it is not HD – or so I have read.

  Can anyone comment on the video quality while filming in HD with an XLH1 and the Canon 16x Manual Servo?

  Also, can anyone suggest an HD lens that will work with both the XL2 and XLH1 (Perhaps via adapter?) that allows accurate manual focus control?
