Well, it works – that’s most important. It does a lot of things really well – color tweaking, for example, and a lot of things rather clumsily IMHO.
I personally don’t like the “edit” or “cut” interfaces, or how BlackMagic’s version of the timeline works. I don’t like how transitions, titles, and effects are used, but I really like having Fusion as a part of the package. There’s also some powerful audio editing capabilities, and really versatile media control. “Smart” bins, for example.
A quirk that annoys me a lot is that the interface is *only* dark charcoal grey. I would like to be able to set it to what I like, say 18% grey. But that’s me.
Oh, and you can use it for free, too. We use the full “studio” version because we own a bunch BM stuff and licenses for Resolve studio come with some of the gear. But to get access to all those tools – even feature reduced – for free? You can’t beat that. Oh, and don’t forget the FREE manufacturer-produced tutorials.
