Going Backwards
My DVD project has a main menu with eight buttons that link to eight seperate timelines. In preview everything looks good and behaves like it should. However when I output the DVD and play it is where my issue pops up. When the “next” or “skip” button is pressed it takes me to the previous timeline. Any thoughts? I’ve tried everything I could think of.

What are your timeline end actions set to?

They are all set to go back to the main menu page default.

Any overrides set in the project?

There are over rides set. Each button in the menu has an over ride set to return to the main menu.

Remove all the overrides. Also, which version of Encore, please?

I removed all of the over rides and i am using Encore 1.0

OK, that explains it.
In Encore 1.0, VTS (timelines) are written to the disc in the inverse order in which timelines were created. When you press the Next button, the disc goes to the last timeline created.
You can sort of work around this by adding a chapter in the last half second of the timeline. What will (most times) happen is pressing Next brings the viewer to this chapter, and then the timeline end action will execute.
There’s really nothing else you can do about this, except upgrade your version of Encore, in which the problem was corrected.
