Glyph HD for FCP HD
…I have two GT062..7200RPM… 1T each..set up as RAID 0…with two 500G inside each 1T box..currently using to capture 24P advanced with 2Trks of 48K audio from HVX200 P2 cards…for FCP HD project… one Glyph is for capture the other for backup…the GLYPH site suggest that in ProTools the JBOD is better performance than RAID0…does it also apply to FCP HD…should I reformat the GLYPHS for FCP HD as JBOD-as two single 500G inside one box???

The Glyph products are simply well-made, albeit rather expensive, enclosures that contain hard drives made by other manufacturers. There’s no reason why they wouldn’t work well with most, if not all, compressed video types in FCP.

Raid-0 has nearly twice the throughput of single drives, which would translate into added realtime performance in FCP.
