Glow & Sparkles around the edge of a character?
Hi there,
I am just about to start on a new 3D project, that involves a lot of glows and sparkes around 2 people (reference to Lord of the Rings a lot with Liv Tyler)as the spirit leaves her body.
I know I could probably replicate this kind of style with after effects, but would much rather do in 3D so I can move and rotate around the effect…
I guess some kind of particle effect? But not really sure how to make the human glow? Is it possible to wrap the whole human in a glow or effect?

This would be easiest if you had MoGraph. If so you could clone small visible lights on your character and move them around with effectors.
If not, but you have Thinking Particles, you could do a similar thing using the TP Surface Emitter preset.

excellent, I have access to mograph, however I have never used it before so will have to have a quick tutorial hunt!
