Apologizing upfront for my lack of understanding of Motion basics…I’m sure there is a simple way to do this, but I’ve not been able to find it via search or figure it out myself.

I’ve been asked to animate text. That is, to have plain text start out with a solid color and turn into a “glittering text” . I’ve tried a number of different approaches – for example, filling the text with texture from a generator and key-framing that effect.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

    Two possible approaches:

Create an animation of a colour solid transitioning into glitter and then apply the text to it as an image mask.

Create a solid-colour text layer, duplicate it and fill the duplicate with a glittery texture, then just transition from one to the other.

    Thanks, Gareth.

I followed something akin to your second strategy… and got test which they were happy with.

    Appreciate the help.
