Glitches after burning

Final cut 5.0.3
QT file is 496 MB, 720×480the problem:
The QT plays fine. When I burn the QT file, there seems to be a few glitches when playing the dvd. Its a frame that just comes in 3 or 4 times times throughout. Not the same frame throughout.
I burned it on toast and idvd, same problem. Tried different dvd players same problem.
Its only when burning to dvd this happens.I’ve used the same settings for other similar projects, never have had this problem…
any help is appreciated

Basically a frame from a few clips before comes in, looks very digital, and its only a frame. If I pause it on that frame it kind of looks superimposed. It happens about 3 or 4 times throughout the duration of the QT. If you aren’t paying close attention you can miss it. Again, this only happens when I burn to DVD. The QT plays fine. And I’ve double checked the timeline and its fine there too.
If I go through the QT frame by frame some of the frames repeat. But that doesn’t seem to effect the QT for some reason. It plays fine as if nothing is wrong with it.
The project is a reel that I have cut for a DP, all of the material was on mini dv and I brought it in as dvcpro ntsc. There is a jpeg in the beginning of the reel and at the end of it.
The codec for the QT export is 720×480 DV/DVCPRO-NTSC Integer (big endian), Timecode.

It sounds like you might be seeing either a veru fast dissolve of pulldown. How did you encode the .mov to .mv2 for the DVD? If you didn’t use Compressor do so with a 2-pass preset. During the first pass the program examines the entire file and then adjusts the encode appropriately. If you don’t do it that wat when the encoder encounters an anomaly it messes up.

I did not use compressor. I’ve always just taken the QT that I exported from FC and used Toast…It has always worked fine for me except this time.
I guess I will try compressor with the 2 pass preset..
