    Hey Guys,

Can you let me know how to do a glint on one particular object? Say, a car’s ‘blingy’ rim, or a shiny painted object. I presume I’d be using the Glint Plug in but I believe the default setting is for multiple spots to be ‘glinty’/Glinting. I would just like to isolate one part of the screen.

    Thanks for the tip!

Hi Tripill. Is this on Avid, Flame, AE, FCP, Shake? I’m guessing since you cross-posted to the Avid forum, you’re on Avid, and I’ll assume you’re using Sapphire v2. In that case, you make a black & white mask for the area you’re interested in glinting, put that on a track below the track with the car. Then apply S2_Glint as usual, and pick Mask: 1 Track Below to use that track as the mask.

If it’s the brightest thing in the frame, you don’t need a mask at all; just turn up the threshold until that’s the only thing glinting/glowing.

    Hope that helps!
