  • GI shadows rendering “artefacts”

    Hello,

I’m trying to render a project of a magazine model, but I’m not able to tweak the render settings with GI correctly. I have mostly solve the shadow flicker issue by boosting the settings to high, but I’m still stuck with some weird artefacts (images below).

I’m thinking the problem is with the light rays that intensify when bouncing between the pages, but even then I couldn’t know how to solve the issue.

    Thanks for your help!
    Maxime

without knowing a lot more about the settings (probably the scene file) it looks like having the light leaks from the prefilter samples being too large when using a Light Map but that’s probably not the only possibility

Well I think you were right! I changed the Secondary method for QMC and it was all good, thanks.
