    Hi There

I have been given some footage captured on a Canon Legria HFR106. This is little HD handy cam that captures .mts files using AVCHD codec. I am told they shot in full 1080 at 25fps.
Now when I take this through FCP log and transfer I end up with 1920 x 1080, 25fps, apple pro res 422 (HQ), with a data rate 22.1mb/sec, no fields.
The footage has these weird lines and ghosting, even if i export it! I called Canon and they say I should speak to Apple. UH?

What can I do to save this footage?

Try viewing the .mts files in MPEG streamclip or VLC player – see if those lines are there all the time. Also make sure you’re viewing the canvas at 100% to check the full quality.

    Hi Jeff

These .mts files do not want to play in mpeg streamclip or VLC.

I have also looked at the footage at 100% and have tried to export it to see if that helps, but no joy, once again.

    Thanks
    Wesley
