  GH5 – Loud Pop / Audio Spike from Sennheiser ew G4 Wireless Lav

  I’m getting a loud distorted audio spike and I can not figure out what’s causing it.

  I swear that this didn’t start happening until I switched from a GH4 to a GH5 – but I can’t find any audio settings on the GH5 that would matter.

  • I’m using a Sennheiser ew G4 Wireless system set to 566.200MHz
  • I shoot in the same studio 80% of the time. There’s not a lot of electrical equipment or anything that would cause interference in there (as far as I know).
  • It doesn’t happen all the time. But once it starts- it’ll throw this noise in every few minutes – and it’s difficult to remove!
  • I use Eneloop rechargeable batteries- I saw that this might be a bad idea in another thread – but i’ve been using them for years and never had a problem.
