  • Getting Updates for Apple if you’re not online?

I love the Apple I have at work (the office recently bought one). But it’s on the network, and no city office anywhere is not going to allow a computer on the network and not put some type of virus protection software on it.

The only glithces I ever experience with the Apple (I’m pretty sure) are because of that network policy we have at the city.

I’ve made a post in here about me wanting to buy an apple for myself. I already have a PC at home online, so I’d like to keep my Apple off line and used only for multimedia work.

If I did this, could I use my PC to download apple updates to a CD, then load them onto the G5 at home? The only times I do updates at work is when I click on the blue apple. So I don’t know . . . ANYTHING 🙂 Really, I don’t know where to manually download updates if that’s possible. So thanks for any pointers

    Thanks
