  • Getting Main Audio through rear speakers instead of front

Hi all – I’m probably missing something very simple, but I’m just not figuring out what I may be doing wrong. This is after exporting my final timeline to an h264 movie file

I’m editing a wedding, long form: audio used is a mix of camera sound and audio recorded directly from the bands mixer to an SD card in a Roland R05. The band’s audio is a stereo wav file and is on track one, with camera audio mixed in at low levels just to give a hint of the crowd noise.

On playback of the exported video in a home theater situation, I get to a section where the main sound is coming from my rear speakers, not from my front where it needs to be. It’s not throughout the whole movie, just a couple of parts, but I can’t see where I did anything differently in the parts that are fine and those that are not.

My export settings for the audio portion of the h264 file are:
    Audio Codec: AAC

    Sample Rate: 48,000 HZ

    Channels: Stereo

    BitRate: 320

Since I’m not working with surround tracks, and I’m requesting “stereo” not 5.1, I just don’t know why I’m getting anything in the rear channels.

    Thanks for any suggestions.
