  • Getting folder by name

I haven’t worked with scripts for about 2 years and I am just getting back into it now.

In my main project panel I have a few folders. One of the folders is the Video folder where I keep all my footage. What I want to do is select that folder only and sort the footage items by name. Then loop over those items and add them to an already existing comp named VIDEO.

Can I get a folder by name?

Is there a way to sort items in a folder?

    Thanks for the help.

No, you’d have to loop through the items in the project bin, looking for a FolderItem with the correct name.

I’m not aware of any way for a script to affect the sort order.
