Getting Avid system on my laptop

You can’t get a cheap or half version of Media Composer. You could probably get a good price on XPress Pro, but it’s no longer made by Avid. It’s basically Media Composer lite. Try ebay, and search for XPress Pro. I think 4.5 was the last version.

I run Avid Free on a laptop, works great. Not all the features etc. of the big boys, but. . .

Avid no longer has it as a download or supports it, but you’ll find the last released version and the key by Googling.
