  • getting a .pptx slideshow file into FCP7 with slides, video clips and audio all working

Our client wants us to include a 15 minute slideshow at the head of our 2hr. FCP7 edited project. The slideshow was presented live on four occasions without any problems. (It was played back on a mac laptop into a projector)

We have had the file sent to us twice. We can open it on a PC with powerpoint but we cannot get it to play back as a slideshow – we can only access the slides one at a time and there is no audio.

We tried opening it on a Mac laptop and we received a pop up saying “cannot find Clinton_Family_Theater.m4v file – The slideshow will not play back properly without this file”

Does anyone know the procedure of exporting and emailing a powerpoint slideshow .pptx file so that we get all the files and it will run properly with slides, video clips and audio all working??? Thanks

I don’t know much about PP, but, on MAC, there is an “Export QT Movie” option.
However if you can not open the file on MAC, you need to fix that first on a PC.
