General Error on text
I have a two minute timeline with the bottom layer a QT background animation. Above it I’ve tried a QT from Live Type and a text effect from Video Generators. I’ve tried superimposing and direct overwrite. These clips only last 3 seconds. Every time I try to render them I get a General Error. What am I missing? Thanks.
MacPro Dual 3 Ghz processor, 3 Gb RAM.

Can’t tell. It may be a disc writing issue. Could be a lot of things. Unfortunately General Error is not very informative. Could you send me the project file and the LT file? I don’t need the background animation. I’m assuming that’s in the same format as the sequence settings.

Thanks for the response. I shortened the LT clip by 2 seconds I didn’t need and then replaced the typewriter effect I’d inserted Friday with the LT clip again. I started the render then canceled about 50% through as the error occurred after 65%. Then I’d render the next bit. That worked. The project is 1920×1080 and is pushing the system pretty hard. Since it’s now hunky dunky I’ll not take more of your time. Thanks again.Del
