While trying to export a file from FCP5 to Soundtrack Pro, I got a General Error, and then found that 13 media files (video) had vanished leaving only a red slash through the icons in the bin. When I tried to reconnect the media, the files were nowhere to be found. So, I set the bin as the Logging Bin and recaptured the missing video files and was able to reconnect. The project I was working on was made up of five sequences that I had added to the timeline to make a new sequence, allowing the five to play continuously. Any thoughts or theories? One thing I did before the editing session was to download a security patch after getting an automatic update alert.

System: Power Mac G5, Dual 250GB hard drives, 2GB RAM, OS 10.4.2, FCP 5.0.2
