  • General Error. Help!

I am using FCP 4.5 HD. I was playing something in my timeline that was working just fine before. But now when it gets to a certain frame it says general error and wont play. The rest of the timeline plays fine. It’s just one clip. I tried taking it out and putting it in again, but that didnt work and there is no glitches because it played fine before.
Will I be wasting my time by re-capturing the footage? Is this general error a cancer that will just spread to other parts of my timeline as I work? What can I do to fix it?
    Mac G5, FCP HD 4.5
    Thank you,
    Kat

Recapture the clip. It sounds like the current media is corrupted somehow unless it’s a rendered clip… in that case, might try just re rendering it.
