How do i place a garbage matte (or any kind of mask) on a certain point of my video? It seems that when i add it to my video it stays on the entire clip but I just want it to pop up on a certain portion. Do I have to cut and make separate clips or can I add it to a specific point?

there are few things you can do you. can keyframe the size from 0 to however big you need it to be. you can create any mask to reveal the mask underneath….it depends on what you’re trying to create

trying to mask out my head… Im standing in a room (greenscreen behind me) and suddenly my head explodes. When I add the garbage matte it stays on the entire clip but I want it to just show up at the point I want it to.

Set the two small black vertical bars in the points when you want the effect to start and to finish.
