  • Garbage Matte on Tracked Object?

I have an object (.psd file) that has been given tracking data from Mocha AE that I am needing to add a garbage matte to.

When I attempt to add the matte the points assigned by the pen tool are all askew, obviously affected by the tracking data.

Is there a way of getting around this so that I don’t have to go through the painstaking and frustrating process of having to eyeball the masking?

    Many thanks!
    Matt.

[Matt Frame] “I have an object (.psd file) that has been given tracking data from Mocha AE that I am needing to add a garbage matte to.

if it’s transform data, you should apply it to a null and not the object. then parent the object to the null. now you can mask the object as you wish.
