    Hi

I have a BVW grade 1 monitor attched to my decklink card in component.

I also use combustion and photoshop.

why is it that my output from Final Cut Pro differs to the output from Combustion and photoshop which match each other, so im assuming FCP’s gamma/contrast setup is wrong, it looks washed out, …..Please help me correct it.

    Thanks

    Theo

FCP and most video apps use YUV color space…Photoshop and other graphic apps use RGB color space. This is probably what you are seeing.

The following article has information from Apple on how FCP handles gamma:
    https://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93794

According to it, FCP tries to make the computer monitor gamma match that of a broadcast monitor.

I think the colors are different between paused and playing.
