    Hi all-

We’re just starting to switch over to FCP 5, Tiger and QT 7. We’re running into an issue where we export a TIF from QT 6.5 using the Blackmagic Codec (QT 6.5.x), do some manipulations in Photoshop, and re-import into FCP. On our FCP 4.5, Panther machine, it has a gamma shift if we render in YUV, but not if we render in RGB (in Timeline Options). In FCP 5, there is a gamma shift regardless. Are there any workarounds for using the BM 10 bit codec in FCP 5?

    Thanks!

Why not just import the tiff into Photoshop, then import that saved and tweaked file into FCP and edit with it? FCP needs stills like that in RGB Mode too BTW… CMYK will drive things nuts.
