G5 audio out through IO???
Is there a way to monitor the G5 audio (Quicktime player, Itunes, DVD player, etc.) through my IO?
I think I might be missing the AJA IO Audio out option in my G5 system preferences>Sound options. Or does that not exist?

As the io is not core audio compliant, you can’t do it through the firewire. What you can do is take your optical audio out and put that in the io and monitor that way via the lightpipe.
