    All,

Want to know what I’ve been tinkering around with over the last few months? Take a look here:-
    https://www.noiseindustries.com/

FXFactory allows you to make your own plugins with Quartz Composer and then bundle them into FXPlug
plugins for Motion & FCP. Not only that, but FXFactory comes with a set of plugs & extra packs are available for
purchase. As they all use the GPU for processing, they are fast, very fast and a lot work in real time.

If you do a lot of moion graphics in Motion or fx in FCP, then check the free demo out.

    Hey Peter,

This looks great, thanks! But hope this isn’t gonna take any butter off Graeme’s bread!

I dont’ think these guys’ product encroaches on ‘Our Graeme’s’ set of excellent film plugins.
Nothing stopping you writing your own stuff in QC though.

If you look at Graeme’s products, you’ll see he’s making similar filters to a lot of other people, so it’s all good. You have choices for film grain filers for example between Graeme and several other plug-in companies. More choices for the user is a good thing and Graeme’s reputation for excellence is pretty legendary around here.

So this is an easier way to manipulate QC? I’ve fooled around with QC, it’s a barrel of monkeys! 😉

Kevin, is that the US version of ‘a box of frogs’ ?

Yes you make your effect in QC and then FXF wraps it up into FXPlug
