    heh… On more than a few occasions when I was mixing someone would request a change, I’d hit replay to match levels for the punch (no console automation in my room at the time), roll through it and before I could start playback to make the change I’d get the “great!” comment.

    I’d only tell them I hadn’t done anything if I liked them. 🙂

    I’m not sure you’re right for the part. If your in, we’d have to use prosthetics, since the visual metaphor would require the character to be Jabba-the-Hutted into his chair.

    The times I’ve done it were exactly as Charlie mentioned below. You play over the edit a few times for whatever reason just to get your bearings or whatnot and then the producer yells “perfect!”

    I suppose it depends on how much editing your producer has done.
