So i finally gave up on trying to hook up a 3rd monitor (wasted a few hundred bucks on blackmagic intensity card and 32′ HDMI cable).

I’ve decided to just use my 22” and 24” LCDs. My 24” vertically as a browser and the 22” for timeline/viewer and canvas. [feel free to suggest a better way of using 2 monitors, i’m cutting a feature].

So all I want to do now is to be able to view my footage in full screen mode without the annoying gray background and without setting one of the monitors as “external”.

View menu> Video Playback> Digital Cinema Preview Main.
Use F12 t toggle full screen.
In the same View Menu you need to set “External Video: All frames”.
