  • Full Premiere Pro -> Resolve -> Premiere Pro XML Rountrip

I’m trying to get the smoothest roundtrip between premire and resolve, via XML.
I miss the last step from Resolve to Premiere Pro,
that’s what I’ve done so far:

    – Edited my sequence in Premiere Pro (native C300 MXF footage)
    – Exported XML from Premiere Pro
    – New project in Resolve
    – Import XML sequence, automatically add MXF to Media Pool
    – LUTs and grading
    – Rendered the sequence (Export to FCP preset, ProRes422@1080p, individual source clips, 30 frame handles for transitions)

Now I’m stuck. I mean, I’ve tried to export and XML from Resolve, imported in Premiere but it keeps loading the original footage…

Please help me with the last step! 😉

usually you need to export xml from conform page AFTER you render your separate files.

    maybe this will help ?

I’ve rendered the clips THEN saved the project and exported the xml to premiere.

I’ve managed to get the right files into premiere,
but there’s some issues with some clips that has some speed changes…

now i’m wrapping the files in ProRes, let’s see what happens…

    what kind of speed changes?

variable speed will make things go wrong.

most likely you have clip with no speed in the end and you need to copy paste attributes in premiere.

    just my wild guess.

we usually grade the whole shot if not with fixed speed change i.e. variable speed shot
