    Hi Everyone,

I had a student ask me today about extending the FS700 slow motion record times. They asked about the option of recording to an external recorder.

So they dropped the frames from 200 to 100 to extend the amount of time they could record, I tested dropping the codec from FX to FH and it made no difference. From what I understand its simply because of the internal video processing required to process the sensor image to 200/100fps so codec wont make much of a difference.

We don’t have an external recorder here so I cant do the tests myself but I imagine it would be the same, limited record time output over SDI because of the internal image processing correct? Basically the upshot is 422 and a better codec than AVCHD?

    Thanks,

    Steve
