March 24, 2007 at 11:33 pmJust went to the Apple website and the link to the crossgrade upgrade from 4.5 isnt working properly anymore….
Perhaps the Crossgrade pricing has expired. You would have gotten the whole suite for $199 under the crossgrade special offer. This is why everyone here was screaming that doing the crossgrade was important, even if you had a Power PC machine.
Maybe its a mistake, or maybe this is because FCP 6 may be released at NAB very soon.

If the offer is still valid, you can get it for $199. You should call the Apple Store and confirm.

According to the Apple Store online, there is a little blurb there on the FCP Studio pricing that says “for as little as $99 upgrade from FCP 4.5 to the full studio” but then the link simply takes you to the FCP Studio Page.
My advice is call the Apple Store and ask them what the current deal is. It used to be $199 and that was supposed to end I believe in December, but then it was extended a little longer.
