Frequent fps dropping to 2 instead of 24.. software related
Hi,I’m plugged in on my laptop and never had this problem before. Actually I don’t even think it has something to do with power state since I can edit a7siii files without charger easily with the 4070 GPU inside. So could anyone tell what is causing my resolve to drop FPS so frequently? It is not fun to edit like this. I attached a log. It started happening last few weeks.Switching project with dynamic project switching fixes the problem temporarily. so most likely a software issue.

Ensure that your media is on an external drive and not the OS system drive. Make proxy files from your original media and use them to edit from. There are many videos on YouTube telling how to use the BM Proxy Generator app within the DR program. Then when all editing is completed export using the full size media to encode.
