No matter what I try, the rendering freezes at about 2%.
I’ve tried changing the clip that’s on 2% (didn’t work), I’ve tried pre-rendering (nope) and I’ve also tried tons of different rendering settings (no worky).
It’s extremly annoying! I’m trying to render a movie containing 30 min of AVCHD footage and about 3 shots with a normal SD miniDV camcorder.
My computer has Windows Vista (32-bit I quess), and 4gb ram, so I don’t see the problem really… Never had this type of trouble before!

If you help me out, I will give 100 dollar to the poor, not kidding!

What version of vegas are you using?
Probably you can try converting those AVCHD files in
another application, then drop them in vegas to edit,
because it seems as if its the AVCHD files that is
    causing the trouble.

Try updating to version 8.0b or 8.0c…restart and see if
    things run smoothly then.
    Remember, updating is free.

Thanks, but this would be a little difficult, since I’ve allready finished my entire project!
I’m working with vegas 8.0a, but as I said, I never had these problems before!

    Anders,
    look for these things (apologies if Steve covered them, I’ve not read every one of the posts;
~Be sure no antivirus is running. Kill ALL background apps.
~If using an external USB drive, consider using Firewire instead.
~If rendering to MPEG, watch your CPU heat. This kills renders more often than you’d think.
~I can’t see the format you’re rendering to in the thread. Knowing this might help.
~kill video preview/drawing frames while rendering.

These are all “first look” things when rendering fails.

If you haven’t done so, I have also found it helpful to split Source, Destination and OS/Vegas onto seperate Hard Drives.
