    Hi,

Iv’e been using AFX CS3 for about 2 weeks now but I noticed that the “Freeze Layer Contents” option is missing under the Preview Settings in the comp window. I have a fully compatible openGL graphics card and sometimes I used this option when I had plenty of 3D graphics and lights/camera’s etc, it used to speed previewing up greatly when this was enabled. I haven’t tested CS3 yet with any graphically intensive stuff but wondered why this option is missing or if it is no longer needed in CS3?.

    Hi, DaMasteRZ.
This option was indeed removed in CS3. Some surveys showed that not so many users were using it, believe it or not.
    Best.

Thank you for the quick response. I don’t understand why not so many people were using it, for me it proved a big help after all anything to speed up rendering and previewing certainly is always nice. I shall really miss this option from CS3. Maybe it will give me the incentive to buy a new graphics card and stick another gig of ram in my PC.
