    Hello all,
    I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for some explanation on how to take a freeze frame or a high res picture and add the 3D effect I see on athletic commercials such as Nike, Gatorade, NFL. They usually have the athlete moving in the foreground while the background goes out of focus. I know it involves the use of cameras within after effects but I wasn’t sure if there was a tutorial somewhere that I’m not finding or if there is a tutorial I could purchase. I do appreciate anyones help.

    The best way to achieve this 3D effect is to cut out all the elements on your picture in Photoshop and bring them into after effects on separate layers. Make them all 3D and add a camera. For the out of focus use the depth of field options in the cameras transform settings.
