Activity Forums Adobe Illustrator Freehand

I thought the news of Adobe purchasing Macromedia was great for the Flash guys….and I sort of liked the move for the past few days…until I realized that I have been a Freehand guy from day one….don’t use Illustrator at all and don’t want to…and now it may be curtains for Freehand. Now I think the buyout kind of stinks. Anyone else have feelings about the Illustrator Freehand thing? I kind of liked the rivalry…now what do we have to talk about?

    Ironic.
(The name: FreeHand. Maybe better ChainHand.)

Multiple pages in a single doc…I produce a newsletter with 16 pages. Each newsletter is a single doc. Text control is only rivaled by Quark. Makes perfect PDF files. Can select single pages or the whole doc to create PDF’s.

I have always preferred the outlines/handles Freehand puts on objects…Illustrator’s were always a little horsey.

Maybe Adobe will upgrade Illustrator to Freehand’s capabilities.

    We can hope…
