  • Frame Size on Capturing HDV

    Hello,
I am using sony hdv z1u and firewire to Mac Book PRo with Final Cut Pro 6.
I have all the capture settings set to HDV..
But for some reason it is capturing at 720X480
    Instead of 1440 /1080…
When I try to drop the dig clip into the timeline.. of a 1440/1080 project, it is too small to fill the frame…
Can anyone help me.. I have a lot of video to capture..
And I want to make sure I am capturing it correctly to get the full value out of the HDV footage.
    Thanks

the camera is likely set to down convert your HDV to DV while going out fire wire.

change it from DV to HDV on the fire wire output, that should do it.
