    hi

I have filmed my footage on a cannon 550d. It is shot at 1920×1080 at 24fps. However vegas didn’t handle this too well so I converted it to mpeg-2 format.

Now I have put it back and it shows up as 1920x1080x32. What is the third value? It still says the frame rate for the event (and project) is 23.976.

For the original .mov files it shows up as 1920x1080x24 so i presumed it was frame rate?

    Could someone help please,

    thanks

    24p really means 23.976 fps.

I’m sure the third value is to do with the Pixel format. If you think of x and y vectors, it sort of a z vector; a measurement of how ‘deep’ each pixel is. I think. The higher the bit depth, the richer the colours.
