    Hi Everyone!

I shot a documentary with a DVX100 at 24p (scene file 5). All of the footage was inadvertently captured at 29.97 and edited in a 29.97 sequence. I caught the problem when I started exporting to QT and MPEG – jittery, jumpy video! (everything looks great in FCP)…I tired copying, pasting and exporting from a 23.98 sequence, with many of the same problems. My questions:

    1. Is it too late to fix this or do I need to go back and re-capture everything and re-create my sequence from scratch in a 23.98 project/sequence?

    2. Can I batch capture all of the footage into a 23.98 project/sequence and use the existing EDL?

    3. Is there some sort of “internal fix” – can I convert the original footage without having to re-capture?

I thought it might be a performance issue, so I tried exporting from several different drives – same results.

    Thanks very much,

    John

You should reverse telecine / remove pulldown your material.

You could try media manage the show, and recapture at 23.976,
    then relink your sequence.

Reverse telecine on the master is doable as well, but you need cuts only, and an application that is aware of cadence breaks (that you will have!)
