  • Frame rate?

As you may have noticed, ive been postin a lot in the past couple of days. Times winding down on my deadline and i keep coming up with questions….

    anyways, about frame rates….

im doing a 4 minute animated film, traditional style, with handdrawn, digtally color characters, on top of live action BGS. I never really thought about this before, but im curious…..

my animation is timed, based on 30fps, and the live action BGS were shot on a Panasonic’s
AG-DVX100A MiniDV camera, set to 30fps….ive been setting all my comps, in ae to 30fps….

am i going to have to change it all to 29.97? can i just render out the final as 29.97? can i just render the final out as 30fps?

What issues will i come across in any of these situations? And how big of a deal is the difference.

the final will be put on beta sp, and its going to be shown at a loews theater for our schools “film festival?” and i hope to enter in other festivals as well. pluss put it on dvd, vhs and the web eventually to show friends an family.

    thanks

    Dan
