  • Frame Rate Converter for 720/50p???

Posted by Graeme Duane on March 21, 2007 at 6:19 am

Hi, I’ve just plugged in an HVX200e into a MacBook Pro and it works great. I’m in PALland so am set to 25p in FCP. I’ve downloaded the Panasonic Frame Rate Converter for FCP, and realise that this only works for 60p, but I can’t even see the plugin under “tools”.

So two questions: Is there a 50p version of this plugin, and how come I can’t see the current version, having installed it already?

    Many thanks!

HMMM, am I to understand that I cannot utilize the high speed function of the HVX200e if I shoot 50p and want to playout at 25? Maybe someone can tell me why the E model is the same price as the U, if there is no support to do this?

If I’d known I would have ordered a U model from the states.

If you record in 720/25pN mode, you can take full advantage of the variable frame rates.

If you want to use the 720/50p mode, you can’t currently edit that in FCP, but you could in EDIUS Broadcast 4.0.
