August 4, 2024 at 12:53 pmHey Mark,
Just picking up out of curiosity:
Did Frame.io get back to you this time, or is the service still “coming and going” with regard to stability?

August 6, 2024 at 12:10 pmHey Mark,
I wonder why they rolled forward in the first place?
Was it new features, or something else?Just being curious.

October 17, 2024 at 3:33 pmOnce again Frame.io is down.
“Users are currently experiencing issues logging in, and delays while using Frame.io. This includes loading projects, uploading files, opening player pages, playing videos on the player page, opening Review/Presentation pages, and posting comments.”

October 18, 2024 at 12:45 amHey Mark,
There seems to something going on in general with storage. My problem is local though, so…
However, maybe Adobe has gone off frame.io?
Another Adobe investment is
https://www.lucidlink.com/product
Maybe they have found a new way to work (I have not tried it):
lucidlink.com
The ease of a local drive, the power of the cloud. Collaborate & edit files instantly and from anywhere with LucidLink.

January 3, 2025 at 10:17 pmMaybe. During the holiday mad rush on spots I had two major clients request that I not use Frame.io because of downtime issues during high pressure jobs so I moved on with those clients. I will still use for some, but that bridge has been broken for those two.
Onward.

January 6, 2025 at 3:10 pmYou and your client’s business was frame.io’s to loose.
At least you have got options, not sure that frame.io will have that many if they can’t deliver a stable platform…

January 8, 2025 at 1:52 pmIn this day of age you need options.
Thankfully most serious clients dictate the cloud service e.g. Aspera, Media Shuttle heck even Dropbox.
Personally I use frame io mostly due to the nature of my current workflow.
Really short programs no more dailies.
I was using frame io at its infancy before covid on film sets doing dailies and teasers.
Worked fine then not had the same projects of late to feel the slow down that users are experiencing.
I get the odd emails with issues but my clients are not as picky these days.
Not sure if thats a good thing 😛
