    Hi,

First of all, forgive me, I’m still working in FCP 7. (hesitant about switching to FCP X or Adobe).

I’m working in a project with material imported straight from a DJI Osmo. This is H.264 material.

Converting it to proress with media manager doesn’t work out. It seemingly works (does all the converting) but then when I look in the settings it’s still not proress.

At first this didnt give many problems except having to drag a clip to the timeline and render it before working with it.

But now there is this ‘frame freeze’ thing going on. Often the final frame of a clip freezes for a second until it moves to the second clip. This remains in the rendered file.

Can anyone advise me on this?

    Use Compressor.

Drag the original files in to compressor, choose an Apple ProRes preset and submit.

Import the ProRes files to fcp7 and edit.
