Frame 20! Again??
Posted by Antony Buonomo on August 1, 2005 at 10:45 pmI’m applying Tinderbox OldFilm filter to a layer and it crashes AE (6.5 pro Mac G5 Dual) on frame 20 EVERY TIME.
It’s a psd still, no moving footage, not big, nothing complicated.
???????

August 1, 2005 at 11:23 pmJust render out your comp without the effect, then import it back in then apply the effect to it then re-render.
I don’t know exactly what your doing so I couldn’t tell you what the problem is. But you may want to eliminate certain features as a mean of troubleshooting. for example eliminate 3d functionality, try pre-composing instead of adjusctment layers, remove certain effects, allocate more memory, shut off certain layers, shake your computer tower.Andrew

August 1, 2005 at 11:46 pmThis is driving me crazy…
I have pre-composed (it’s one layer) and then applied the filter
I have rendered it out clean as a quicktime, re-imported and then applied the filter
I have started a new project, added one layer and then applied the filterIt crashes on frame 20 EVERY TIME
I am now using my tower to catch lobsters

August 1, 2005 at 11:56 pmHave you tried going into the secret pref’s (hold shift while going to the prefs) and then making the ram purge every 5 frames or such.
