    Hello all,

My department is looking to buy a multitrack recorder (at least 24 channels)for use in our satellite broadcasts to capture table mics individually. Specifically we have been looking at the Tascam x-48 and the Fostex D2424LV. Has anyone had experience using these recorders with FCP? We may be taking the files into ProTools, but I would also like the option of importing them directly into FCP.
I’d appreciate any feedback/advice you can give.

    Thanks,
    Leigh

Any capture device should be able to produce wav files or broadcast wav to import into FCP. Ask both Tascam and Fostex to provide a mono, stereo and multi channel file to test.
