    Hi all being new to Mac and FCP. So excuse the post. I am going to use an external Lacie hd for my video files. There are about 4 different choices in the utility folder. What should I use?

    Disc Utility. Do an Erase using Mac OS Extended and UNcheck Install OS 9 drivers.

    Know that there is also a Final Cut Pro Basics forum on the cow with many answers for newbies to FCP and the Mac. You may also want to peruse the Mac OS X forum.
