Just got a HVX200 says it is compatible with the new 16GB cards – We can’t format an SD card or see a 16GB P2 – is there some master camera write protect setting? Help!
    Thanks

Did you update your camera? HVX200 is compatible after a firmware update…

The camera has version 4.6 and should see the 16GB cards – problem is I have 3 different SD cards and the camera will not allow me to format any of them. If I could format an SD card I guess I could copy the firmware to it and try updating again. Any clue on why the camera won’t see an SD card? Thanks

Maybe someone more advanced can answer…MY guess would be to format the SD card from a computer (Mac, Windows) then try and load it in the camera and see if that works.

I believe you have to format it in the camera. How big a card are you using. I think you only need a 64MB card. A card over 2GB might not work.
