For long captures: how do I keep subclips and delete the rest of footage?
I film sports where I set up the camera and it records for about an hour, but I only want to keep the highlights. I have saved the sections of clips I want as sub-clips, and now I want to delete the excess.
What is the best way to do this? Should I export the subclips I want to keep as Quicktime files and delete the original file or is there a better way?

Make the subclips new master clips, then media manage.
