I have a really important video project that was shot on my HVX200 in 720 p mode.

I brought the footage into FCP in a 720 24p sequence and edited it… looks great.

I exported it to a quicktime file using “current settings”

So then I needed to import it into a DVPRO 50 NTSC to edit it into a SD sequence.

The problem is, it looks like the fields are off. I looked at the format and it says the footage’s field dominance is set to none, which I think is as it should be, but it still looks off.

PLEASE help – this is a tight deadline

    thanks in advance

Try setting your dv50 sequence with a 23.98 frame rate. Then use Cinema Tools to add pulldown if you need to, or if outputting to dv50 tape, let FCP add the pulldown for you on output.
