Footage “flicker” with RAM preview and render
Hi,
I have some footage to edit that was shot on a Canon 60D at 25fps.
I have used AE CS6 to put together the clips. There are about 14 precomps in the main composition.
When I RAM preview the playback, and also when I render out the video as an avi or H264, there appears to be a kind of flicker to the footage.
I wouldn’t necessarily call it a flicker. There is a horizontal separation in the alignment of the footage as it pans. If that makes sense?
I’m on a Win7 64bit machine with 8GB RAM.
I’m guessing there is some kind of effect I can add to remove the flicker? It almost reminds me of exporting Canon footage from Premiere without using a progressive field order when exporting. Is there something in AE that will sort it?
Any help is grately appreciated.

The Rolling Shutter Repair seems to have removed the “flicker”, however it has darkened my clip somewhat. It was a woman filmed against a white background. Now the background looks like a dirty white or a grey. I have just tried adjust the levels on the clip, however it did nothing.
The clip uses the Multiply blending mode.
Is there a reason for this darkening? Can it be prevented? Is anyone able to suggest a how I can retain the clips original levels and still use the rolling shutter effect?
