I saw some discussions on this but wanted to add my 2 cents and also ask the question why?

I’ve checked via other software that the fonts installed on Windows display properly (ex: in Word) but not at all in SVP. They do appear in the test window but not the preview. That is what I do not understand. Here are some of the one’s I found that do not appear properly. These are but a few I found.

    Micro Stencil
    Macao
    Japanette
    1781-Deco
    Harrogate

There are a myriad of others that do not work as well. Did SVP 13 fix these errors? I am currently running SVP 12 last build prior to 13.

No. it isn’t fixed in Vegas 13. Still does not display most of the
    fonts installed properly.
I rely entirely on the Legacy text generator presently, because that
at least shows all fonts correctly.

Steve in addition have you noticed a serious lag when changing font styles where you will get the … in the preview window as it updates?

It boggles my mind on a high end system to see it brought to a crawl simply by changing a font. I’m not even talking about scrubbing the timeline simply just selecting different fonts.

It’s down to Vegas Text Generators. I have NONE of these issues with NewBlue Titler PRO none. That makes me think it is purely the fault of the Text Generators and lack of further development to correct it.

Vegas is a great NLE. There remains areas of development that have fallen into disuse. Don’t get me started on VP PTT.

I guess I need to shift focus then.
Here I am thinking the easy one would be the most efficient.

It does get tiresome having to seek out alternate solutions to what should be simple issues.

    Will give it a try…thanks
